Busan 부산

Korea's coast — hillside art villages, mountains meeting the beach, cliff temples over the waves and raw seafood pulled from the market that morning. The yin to Seoul's yang. Here's everything worth doing across your 2½ days.

Your 2½ days, roughly

You arrive midday on 8 July and have all of the 9th and 10th. Busan is spread out, so this groups things by area to cut down on travel. Treat it as a menu, not a timetable.

Wed 8 · PMArrive & drop bags. Ease in downtown (Nampo): Jagalchi fish market → BIFF Square & Gukje Market street food → sunset at Gwangalli under the lit bridge.
Thu 9 · dayThe two icons: Gamcheon Culture Village early → Haedong Yonggungsa cliff temple → Haeundae Beach & the Sky Capsule. Dinner in Seomyeon.
Thu 9 · nightA night on the water: The Bay 101 yacht under the lit Gwangan Bridge, or up X the Sky for the sunset view.
Fri 10 · dayCoast & unwind: an Igidae or Dongbaekseom sea walk (or Taejongdae cliffs), then a Spa Land / hot-spring soak — or add surfing at Songjeong.
Two timing heads-ups — ① The free Gwangalli drone show is Saturdays only (20:00 & 22:00), so it falls just outside your Wed–Fri window unless you're still here Sat the 11th. ② The Jeoryeong coastal path & tunnel on Yeongdo are closed for construction through 2026 — the clifftop Huinnyeoul village above it is still open and worth it. Also: book the Sky Capsule, cable car and yacht a few days ahead — they sell out.
Monsoon month — early July is jangma: warm (28–32 °C), humid, with short heavy downpours. Sea activities are in season, but any given day can be rained or wind-cancelled — keep the covered markets and the spas as rainy-day fallbacks, and check same-day before a cable car or yacht.
